As someone who loves harem and light-hearted games, I can say this: the pill is a little hard to swallow at first and it takes a bit of time to get used to the tone of the whole thing, but IF you can appreciate super well-written story and characters, wholesome scenes, super hot scenes between only MC and the girls, and IF you're ready to wince every once in a while and skip through stuff, then you'll probably be able to survive it and even maybe enjoy it. Might be worth the risk, might be not.

As for cheating, consent, and cucking, these are kind of loaded topics for this game. The three women enters the Club to gain something from it, but they're also desperate and that's something the club's authorities takes advantage of. I don't think anyone too stubborn to keep an open mind, discuss, or think about morally ambiguous situation can truly enjoy this game. If you don't like cheating or cucking, you can avoid it, kinda. Just know that the characters don't follow a "the dev has a cuck fetish so cuck is going to happen". All the characters have their own depth, they don't act "out of nowhere". Nothing happens "out of nowhere". Either you see it coming and can prevent it, or you can support the girls through it, or after it happened.

There's no death or seriously wounded, and there's no rape or "betrayal" of the MC. The term of consent is again very gray in this game, though. The women choose to participate to the Club's games, but that's because they're desperate to win. They might sometimes enjoy it, sometimes tolerate it, sometimes hate it. Theoretically they can choose to stop, but then they won't win obviously, so they push through it. Up to you to try and support them all you can while developping an emotionnal connection with them, or just support them, or take advantage.

I've personnally settled for trying to be the most supportive for the girls, because that's the only path that I feel can make MC "special" to them in a way. Ain't nothing special about being just another asshole who take advantage of them, or just want to fuck or humiliate them. So while the three women in the middle might end up in some sort of sexual "situations", you have to accept that they wouldn't be doing it if they weren't desperate to win the games, as opposed to fuck MC mostly because they enjoy his company.

As the two girls on the side, one of them is in a relationship at the beginning and you can have her break up with her boyfriend to be with you, kinda. Otherwise, no cheating or rape or betrayal that I can think of. Anyway this game is fucking complicated, but still worth a shot. Worst case you can try and stop it if you can't handle it.

Though I really advise you to play it with Shawn's walkthrough (which contain a cheat mod too) to make it less frustrating at certain times.
A lot to break down here. I always play with walkthrough on, I always prefer being supportive and kind, but at the same time I tend to see the alternatives due to lack of self control, which also makes it difficult to just skip scenes as I want to read through everything on the route I've chosen.
I played through one game that made me block a tag because the content destroyed me. The mc and his sister were kidnapped and treated horribly, a lot of seriously disturbing tags in that one. Braveheart Academy where the first game had an avoidable ntr side ending... I don't know why I decided to sit through that, I was not okay after that and it made me permanently block the netorare tag... Wait, netorare, cheating, am I gonna have to block that tag too? Is there a difference?
There was also Falling stars where multiple likable characters were unfairly injured which was another surprise factor. I guess I just really want to see it coming and maybe be able to avoid it but both were an option for that ntr side ending... So yeah. It's hella complicated.
While I'm not necessarily into bdsm and some of the rougher tags, I do say I have a bit of an iron stomach when it comes to certain things some find really disturbing. I can for example handle extreme photographic gore that any news channel would censor. So it's a bit of a gamble if I can handle this game or not.

You will most likely be very surprised when an attack on your emotions comes from a side you don't even expect and this will all happen at the very beginning of the game. Vicky will take care of it.

So you won't have to waste much time if you just try.

If you’re worried about the whole cheating on the mc thing I guess the safest bet is Hana. But k don’t know if I’m misremember she does have “cheated on Hana” points. I’m going to take a crazy leap here in that if you keep cheating on her don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work out for you down that road. :KEK:

I don't think the rule "if you have to ask then, (some variation similar to-) you probably won't enjoy it" really applies in every scenario. The thing I struggle with the most are two things, getting to know and love a character that dies or get seriously wounded later on, or getting to know and love a character that is raped or goes behind the mc's back. The attack being the surprise factor in this case. It's very different if these things start happening from the start of the game when you haven't bonded with them yet.
Maybe I can be unfairly glib when it comes to questions of that nature. It's wholly reasonable not to want to be bummed out by a porn game and there's nothing wrong with making a quick forum post to prevent investing your limited time into something you won't enjoy. I totally get not wanting to spend 70 hours reading of a slice-of-life story only to find out the bitch dies of cancer at the end and you're now a single dad. I mostly avoided anything with the nakage tag on VNDB for what I suspect is a similar reason as you.

But as an aside, just generally speaking... I dunno. I feel like you get more out of stories when you just roll the dice with them. Sure, often a character biting it is cheap and sours you on the experience, but other times it resonates in a cathartic way.

In my example above, knowing ahead of time just caused me to prejudge an experience. People love the game I referenced, so much so they made a fucking anime about it, but in a vacuum without any context of course I don't want to be sad. Yet there's been plenty of games where an unexpected development had me blubbering like a baby and I came away feeling good about it. Maybe I would've enjoyed that one.

Anyway, I'm just rambling here because the subject's close to heart. Provided you're in the right head space for it, I think one of the magical things about fiction is that it allows you to experience negative things in a safe environment. Machete weilding killers, war tragedies, and even having a ho-ass girlfriend.

Idk, I like kill bill. I don't think anyone shot better than that.
Funny that's coming up in relation here, because Tarantino homage'd the hell out of Kill Bill. One of the bigger influences in Kill Bill Vol. 1 was another Meiko Kaji movie, Lady Snow Blood. The ending duel with O-Ren kinda mirrors the opening of that movie and it even uses the song Flower of Carnage (sung by Kaji) for the ending.

So, what's so special about your favorite female prisoner movie?

Ehh, that's just a hook for inevitable father-daughter incest sequel.:coffee:
Looking at you Bunny Drop. What the fuck.

For the first two entries especially, it's a blend of my tastes. It takes a cheap exploitative premise ( a women in prison/ rape-revenge story), but executes it with an experimental flair that elevates the whole thing. Most importantly, it does that while being entertaining.

Plus, Kaji's inscrutable stare. It does something to me.
No other actress does more with their eyes in my opinion.

Just play by making our MC Edwin being supportive of people around him and you won't be disappointed. Trust me.

That's Meiko Kaji, a Japanese actress from the movie Female Prisoner #701 : Scorpion.
Meiko Kaji is also a rather well known Enka singer, just hopp on youtube or your favourite other video/music site. By the way, one of her most famous songs is "Flower of carnage", some might know this song.
With TD an obvious fan of her I theorise we might find several nods to her movies and songs in PC, if we look for them. I would not be surprised if some storypaths are influenced by this.
Plus, Kaji's inscrutable stare.
For Meiko´s stare...
